dentists are usually totally unnecessary--they MAKE business for themselves (you have to have your teeth cleaned twice a year--total and complete *^#@, actually its BAD to have this done--it removes the good stuff from your mouth and the bad stuff is what comes back not the good). Unless you are having some real issues (yes pwnd yours are), then there is NO reason for a dental visit.
and Malice is back again for the minute!

That would be true. Long before there were dentist people were fine, supposedly. Though they may not have been either. I hadn't been to the dentist in like 6 years or something and I surprisingly had no cavities. Just a bit of gingivitis and the fact that my wisdom teeth need to come out. Otherwise I was okay.
He is probably gone again now.

yep, would figure that as well.
I make a once a decade trip to the dentist, usually to have them tell me that my old fillings should be replaced (yeah, right even my hubbys dental insurance doesnt cover that), because they have mercury in them and possible mercury poisoning (well, seeing as they have been in my mouth since the early '70s I would think the 40 years that have happened would probably mean I would already have that).
Last time I went in they wanted to fix one of my fillings (2003), at which time the cracked the tooth next to it thus having to replace that one as well---and my insurance only covering 50% of that (at the time), would have covered the replacement at 80%--they got more $ from me than from my insurance so, yeah, they broke it so they could get more cash from me!
I have a bit of plaque and I need to brush more and floss (yeah ngh)....havent had a cavity since 8th grade when my last permanent tooth came in (wisdom teeth didnt have cavities)...so no need of superfluous doctors! (I know men dont like going to the reg doctor, well, I dont like the dentist since they are really totally unnecessary)
nice day today, a wee bit warm, rain missed us and the temps fell back into the 70's...happy camper here for that forecast!

They were amazed at the shape my teeth were in with me not having gone to the dentist in so long. I guess other peoples teeth are not in the same condition. Will be interesting to see what they say when I go back in 6 months.
Mercury fillings... Hmm ya those could turn bad me thinks. But they would be super expensive to replace and your insurance doesn't seem to be awesome so ya. I don't blame ya.
Warm here. Supposed to be even warmer tomorrow. I have my consultation for my wisdom teeth tomorrow afternoon, after my 2nd day of regular teacher institute. I have basically 6 day worth of institute before the students show up with regular teacher institute and new teacher induction stuff... I'm kinda ready to be done with meetings and get to student stuff.

yep, warm...but its summer in the midwest --dog days they call it...and we had a late start to the summer (june was cool--didnt mind it much --the rain we did mind).
pwnd, good luck with that---I can STILL remember the horrible day I had my wisdom teeth removed (near death experiences tend to stay with you)....hope you have a very good reaction.
sorry age, we havent been too off topic or absurd....just talking about the weather mostly---

OTA = Off-Topic and Absurd.
Very warm today through part of next week. Kiddo's start up Tuesday, so first day with students in my new school. Will be interesting! Have to get used to being in a different room every hour...
Just had my consultation for the wisdom teeth removal. Definitely pricey, but it needs to be done. Getting them out June 3rd, so I have a while yet. Needed to wait until school was out.
I should log in and see what gifts await me...

el kunnie is probably one of the better ones you can get from that group. My characters have to wait until the end of the month for their next bdays (got a bunch I started at the end of aug/beg. of sep).
June? I would say that is a bit of a 'pre' consultation! (I was thinking perhaps xmas or spring break at the latest), I dont remember what it cost me to get 3 out (and yeah, back in the days before dental insurance or companies covering that kind of stuff). But I do remember what it cost me to get my 2 caps on my back molars---that was only 12 years ago (my bottom wisdom tooth had come in on an angle and had started a crack in my last tooth--which from wear finally gave up, the other was because the dentist cracked the one in front of it )... and yeah that was expensive enough.
BUT at least you have time to either save up or get insurance to cover it?

I don't know when I would have had time to have the pre-consultation done during the school year so I just did it now. That way when I go back to my dentist I can tell them it is done. The big thing was getting them to say they would do it. They submit the stuff to our insurance next year then. So ya. There is that at least.

loop? ah I dont really think they post on anets forums since that is mostly just fanboys--they wont 'allow' negative comments about their baby. We dont have problems with that here
nice storm yesterday...didnt have to water my plants (they were looking a bit droopy )
and now the a/c just basically stays ON most of the time (dont want to see my electric bill next month )

I hate places that don't allow negativity. How can you improve if people only sing your praises? Seems dumb. Don't complain about me to me cause I'm perfect and I don't want anyone to rain on my parade! >.>
We had a crazy one roll through pretty quick on Friday night. Was crazy how fast it came and then the wind was insane. Died down pretty quickly too. Made it seem even crazier that way.
Very hot here as well... Darn it...

Had a storm a few weeks back which ripped felt off 2 of the stable blocks. Gonna get it changed out for that plastic corrugated stuff soon.
I might join the official forum....see how long I last
My apple press for cider making is late too should of arrived last week. Had to ditch loads of apples so far. Branches on the large plum tree are breaking under the weight I gotta dry all those for winter. Overall much better harvest from the orchard this year compared to last.

orchard? you have an orchard? (didnt think you stayed in any place long enough for that).
you can try the official forum, but yeah, would probably be a very short experience.
been warm again...storms possible today, but supposed to be cooler after they go thru (would be nice).

Oui! I've settled know in the Gascony region of SW France. Been here 1.5 years roughly now.
Place has a small orchard about 1/4 acre. Just enough for home brewing etc. 10 hectares of land and half acre of woodland. It's gpt 1 red and 1 white grape vine going across the front of the house as well, so gonna try and make some wine as well as cider.
Downside is shit internet. I pay for 2MB, but rarely get 1MB (fastest you can get around here). You have to drive everywhere too. Ditched the Ferrari and got a Range Rover. Took some time to get use to going so slow
